BOAT RENTAL POLICY

Renters must have prior boating experience. Staff will go through the vessel or PWC with the renter. However, we expect renters to be very competent for the safety of everyone on board and on the reservoir. Every renter will be required to read and sign our Boater’s Safety Checklist.

• Boaters must adhere to all Cherry Creek State Park boating regulations.

• All renters or operators must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

• Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your rental reservation. Check in at the pro shop for Island Marine & Sports at The Marina.

• At check-in, a damage deposit will be put on the renter's credit card. When the vessel is returned, the deposit will be released.

• No pets, tobacco products, marijuana, or grills on the Boats.

• "Beaching" your rented vessel or PWC is strictly prohibited. All vessels and PWCs must be kept 100 feet

• The maximum number of people per boat or PWC must be strictly adhered to.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Pelican Bay at Cherry Creek has a 7-day cancellation policy for all boat reservations.

• Cancellations made one week before the first rental day will receive a 50% deposit refund.

• If it rains, refunds are given. Wind and temperature are not refundable.

• Please call to cancel or ask about cancellations. No-shows will be charged the full amount.

WEATHER POLICY

We recognize that inclement weather can hinder a boating trip. We provide a flexible policy that allows you to reschedule your boat rental when the weather is favorable.

• We charge the full price on the rental day.

• If it's dangerous or there's thunder and lightning on the lake, you can bring the boat back to the pier and just be charged for the time you were out. We won't send anyone onto the lake if it's dangerous.
