The Lake House at Pelican Bay is Denver’s only beachfront venue, located at The Marina, overlooking the beautiful Cherry Creek Reservoir. The Lake House is an ideal spot for any corporate, wedding, or social event — including beachfront concerts!

We have a variety of year-round rental options. Rental spaces include: The Great Hall, the Patio, the Captain’s Suite, the Breezeway, Tiki Beach, the Pub, and the Pelican Princess party boat. We host an array of events – weddings, social meet-ups, themed parties, concerts, fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and much more!

VENUE RENTAL SPACES

  • The Great Hall

    The Great Hall is an indoor blank slate for your big event. Featuring a custom bar and an adjacent private suite, our multi-function space offers an air-conditioned environment for up to 220 guests. The outdoor, open-air Patio can accommodate an additional 200 guests. When you rent the Great Hall, both the outdoor Patio and Captain’s Suite are included with this rental.

  • The Patio

    Our open-air upper Patio offers extra space for guests to step out and enjoy some scenery. The Patio can host up to 200 guests, providing a breathtaking view of Cherry Creek State Park, the Marina, and the Reservoir. This makes for a beautiful backdrop to any cocktail party, ceremony, or corporate event. Heaters and fire pit rentals are available as well. The Patio is included with the Great Hall rental.

  • The Captain’s Suite

    The Captain’s Suite is located adjacent to the Great Hall, and was recently remodeled with fresh and modern decor. This private space can be used as a bridal suite, a green room, a prep room, or for intimate events up to 25 guests. It is ideal for hosting a baby shower, a bridal shower, or a small get-together. Our luxury suite allows brides to get ready alongside family and friends, VIP clients to prepare for speeches and presentations, or performers to relax and store gear before a big gig.

  • The Breezeway

    The Breezeway is our outdoor covered patio on the lower level, overlooking Tiki Beach and The Marina. The Breezeway offers outdoor seating for Pub patrons, and is open to the public during the summer months. This space is available for private rental, accommodating up to 150 guests.

  • Tiki Beach

    The Tiki Beach can be rented in addition to the Breezeway, accommodating up to 300 seated guests. Additional security is required to rent Tiki Beach, and it is subject to availability. Note: Tike Beach cannot be rented on weekends during peak season, with the exception of a wedding ceremony.

  • The Pub

    Located just a few steps from the beach, The Pub is a great place for meetings, happy hours, birthdays, and other special events. During the summer, our boat-shaped bar offers thirst-quenching cocktails, delicious food, and great atmosphere. The Pub is open to the public!

The Pelican Princess

If you are looking for a unique space to host a meeting, impress a client, or simply add more fun to your business function, the Pelican Princess is Cherry Creek’s pride and joy. Private rentals are available.

Rent The Pelican Princess for your own private event. You will not find anything quite like this in Colorado! Private boat tours can accommodate up to 50 people. Catering, decor, and entertainment are custom options to discuss with event and rental staff.

    Want to hire a live cover band? Jazz music? A DJ? Performances can be set up indoors or outside, depending on the weather and the size of your event, budget, and vision.

    Linens, glassware, and tableware are offered through our partner, Event Rents. You can choose from a variety of price points and design elements in order to suit your style.

 LAKE HOUSE FAQs

  • The Lake House has in-house speakers, a microphone, and lighting available for use or an add-on fee. Your hired DJ or Band will also provide their own speakers.

  • Up to 200. Events over 200+ guests must arrange a shuttle service and pay extra for an additional parking lot rental.

  • Parking is free for guests. All fees are paid up front by the client.

  • There is a “$4 special event fee” per person that goes to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This cost is paid for by the client, not at the entrance gate.

  • No. The State Park is aware of all events, and will allow you through the gate on the day of your event.

  • While we are primarily a three-season venue, our Lake House event hall is open for private events year round.

  • We are a Marina, a seasonal, lakeside Pub (open to the public), and an indoor, year-round private event center. We do not offer restarurant-style food and beverage.

  • Yes, we require that each event has a dedicated, certified event planner. The Great Hall is a four-wall rental facility. We have chairs, tables, and AV on site. An event planner ensures that all details are managed, as we do not have an on-site party planner.
