Pelican Bay is managed by Vencore Marine Group, under the leadership of Erik Dyce, CEO.
Our small, family-like team is dedicated to providing friendly service, excellent entertainment, and a great time at the lake!
Vencore Marine Group operates Pelican Bay at Cherry Creek State Park, most visited of all 42 state parks in Colorado, with 2.3 million visitors per year.
Meet ERIK DYCE
Erik Dyce is the president and CEO of Vencore Marine Group, LLC, which operates Pelican Bay at Cherry Creek State Park. This includes The Marina, The Lake House, The Pub, and Paddle Sport Beach.
Locally known as "Mr. Red Rocks," Erik retired as the Chief Marketing Officer of the City and County of Denver's Arts and Venues division, which owns and maintains eight additional venues in addition to Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Erik Dyce was instrumental in establishing the foundations and gaining momentum that led to Denver's designation as a cultural center over the course of more than 25 years.

Marina Manager
Hello, my name is Phil Hofer, Certified Marina Manager (CMM). I have been in marina management for over 25 years and have a certification from the Association of Marine Industries. All of my marina management experience has been in Colorado; however, I have been sailing and boating in many states and foreign countries. I have attended the annual AMI conference since 2005. Needless to say, marinas and boating are a passion. My other passion is ski patrol. I just finished my 29th season as a Keystone ski patroller. Thank you and welcome aboard!

Jamaica Jenkins
Executive Director
Jamaica, a former high school English teacher, joined the team after attending a Live at the Lake concert. Impressed with what “felt like home” - New Hampshire lake vibes- she immediately became a Pelican Bay enthusiast. As Executive Director, she is a Jill of all trades, supporting all things Pelican Bay. From people to paperwork, Jamaica is a natural connector and an asset to building and maintaining our Pelican Bay team relationships. She enjoys traveling, live music, sunsets, and a Spicy Sailor cocktail at the Pub. She works to book great bands, and is the voice of content, social, and all things marketing. Come say hello to Jamaica at one of the summer concerts!

Alaska Nygard
Event Sales Manager
Alaska is the Event Sales Manager at the Lake House. She has worked at the Lake House for four years, alongside an amazing team that enjoys the lake life! Her professional background is in events, banquets, hospitality, and bartending. She has gone by her nickname for years, born and raised in the "Land of the Midnight Sun." Having lived in Colorado for nearly two decades, our state is close to her heart due to its mountains and outdoor activities. Working next to the water reminds her of being back home in the Pacific Northwest. She loves the outdoors, hiking, swimming, boating, volleyball, photography, karaoke, animals, and spending time with her friends and family. Feel free to contact her for all of your event needs!

Patrick Gallagher
Food & Beverage Manager
A true New Yorker, Patrick is Pelican Bay’s no-nonsense, get it done while having fun F&B Manager. Patrick has worked at Pelican Bay for three years as a Pub bartender. This year he is our in-house master mixologist, and he will make sure you and your crew have the best bar experience in DTC. His specialty cocktails are delicious - but please don’t take our word for it- you have to try ‘em yourself! Patrick plays basketball and sings ridiculous theme and pop songs in his spare time. Ask him to sing his favorite cartoon song the next time you are in the Pub!

The Lake House
The Lake House is a multi-purpose event center overlooking Cherry Creek Reservoir, featuring: a massive patio, a covered breezeway, a grand reception hall, and a private captain’s suite.

The Pub
The Pub is the perfect spot to relax after a day on the lake. Saddle up to the boat-shaped bar or kick back on our outdoor breezeway. We offer snacks, tavern food, and a full bar.

Paddle Sport Beach
Paddle Sport Beach is just a short stroll from The Lake House. There, you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes. You can also sign up for beginner, private, and river instruction.

The Marina
The Marina offers 250 boat slips to dedicated slip holders, as well as public boat rentals, wakesurfing lessons, and jet ski experiences. Amenities include: food, fuel, and basic boating supplies.
